 BIOGRAPHY
Carlos Martinez was born in Buenos Aires, he lived in the province of
Santa Fe for 20 years where he leaves his engineering studies to return
to his native city. Later he approaches to the photography as hobby but
quickly is transformed into a professional, he was united to the Jorge
Amado Group agency for the commercialization and distribution of his
pictures. Since then, Martinez's works has appeared in major
publications of Argentina and the world, and national advertising.
Photographing to the greatest personalities of the Earth like for
example Mick Jagger, Lady Di,
Madonna, Claudia Schiffer, Diego
Maradona, Mijaíl Gorbachov, Naomi Campbell,
Giselle
Bundchen, Sarah
Ferguson, Maxima Zorreguieta among others.
In 1997 he was summoned by the "Secretaría de Desarrollo
Social" of the Nation to participate as sworn in the photography aid
"Jovenes Creadores", contest by which one impelled the creation of new
spaces of participation in the art.
At this time, Martinez is based in Argentina from where he works in
press and visual communication for advertising doing images between
glamour and realism.
